Mission Statement

Women of Compassion exists to gather women around one shared purpose: to give generously, serve faithfully, and surround children in foster care with the love and hope of Christ.

what is women
of compassion?

Women of Compassion unites women across the state around one shared financial goal and hands-on opportunities to serve ABCH foster families and social workers. It’s a simple, meaningful way to turn compassion into action.

This year’s
financial goal

Across our state, children enter foster care with urgent, everyday needs—clothes that fit, a safe crib to sleep in, food for the week, diapers, shoes, and the simple items that help a child feel seen and secure. This year, Women of Compassion is uniting around one collective goal: raising $200,000 to meet these direct care needs. Our goal will span one year, beginning April 1, 2026 and concluding April 1, 2027.

Every gift—large or small—comes together to provide:

  • Clothing and shoes for children of all ages

  • Cribs, car seats, and bedding

  • Diapers, formula, and hygiene essentials

  • Support for foster families welcoming a new child

When women give together, ordinary generosity becomes extraordinary impact. Each member of Women of Compassion is asked only to give as she is able, trusting that God multiplies every generous yes.

Serve With Us

Women of Compassion is more than giving—it’s showing up with hands and hearts ready to help. Throughout the year, members will have opportunities to serve foster families and the social workers who care for them through:

  • Cooking and delivering meals

  • Babysitting to give foster parents rest

  • Writing encouragement notes to social workers

  • Organizing supply drives and family events

  • Praying for children and families

You can serve in ways that fit your season of life. Explore the committees available to you as a Women of Compassion member. Every act of compassion matters.
