Birmingham

Donor Relations Specialist

The Donor Relations Specialist will assist the Donor Relations Team in providing comprehensive services in support of the Ministry’s vision, mission, goals, and engagement philosophy. Using strong organizational skills, the Donor Relations Specialist employs exceptional record-keeping abilities with strong attention to detail. Primary duties include: accurate and timely entry regarding donors and gifts; maintaining the integrity of the database’s records; assisting with reports; and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of donor acknowledgments.

College degree preferred with at least one year of administrative, clerical, or data entry experience, preferably in a nonprofit or faith-based organization, or the successful completion of the program of study related to record-keeping and administration.

Birmingham

Social Worker 

The Social Worker position will be responsible for the delivery of case management services to children and families in our Foster Care program. This position will recruit, license, train, and supervise foster homes; coordinate intake, orientation, and admission of children/families into assigned program; assess information about children’s developmental/family history; develop and implement a Case Plan for every child; evaluate progress of children/families in care and foster families; manage transfers and discharge processes; represent the ABCH & FM’s vision, mission to groups, individuals, and referring agencies in a professional and objective manner; teach TIPS classes as required; and more. 

Applicants much have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work from a college or university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Applicants must be license eligible or have a current license to practice Social Work issued by the Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners.

AUBURN/OPELIKA

Administrative Assistant

Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes has an excellent full-time opportunity for an Administrative Assistant. This position will provide administrative support to the Foster Care Specialists in the Auburn and Montgomery offices. The Administrative Assistant will accomplish effective administration for both offices, which maximizes resources towards the goal of achieving the mission of ABCH. Duties include assisting social workers, office receptionist, bookkeeping, record-keeping, editing, completing thank-you letters to donors, and scheduling.

Applicants must have an Associate’s degree or a high school diploma and at least two years of administrative experience. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a good driving record and pass pre-employment screenings including criminal background.
