It’s easy to think of going international when talking about missions—but missions can happen right in our own backyard. And that’s what one small group from The Church at Brook Hills is doing.

Dru and Chereta are single moms who are hard working, bright, articulate, hopeful, and loving. And for each of them, for different reasons, they found themselves homeless and scared about their futures before getting connected to our Family Care ministry in Mobile.

Stockings with Sass is a first year, hands-on giving project with a lot of heart! It was created by a volunteer with the hopes of providing Christmas gifts to moms in our Family Care program.

This summer, Family Care in Alabaster was a recipient of UNITE 2017—the first annual youth service event sponsored by Shelby Baptist Association, serving 22 sites all over Shelby County.
