Family Care
Family Care is Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes’ ministry for homeless mothers with children. The program provides a mother with transitional housing while she gains employment, saves money, receives counseling and learns life skills such as budgeting and parenting. Depending on their commitment to the program, mothers may stay for up to one year.
We offer a Family Care Program in four locations: Alabaster (Birmingham area), Decatur, Mobile and Oxford. Some programs offer living environments where families share a kitchen, living room and eating area. Others locations offer individual apartments or homes.
