National Foster Care Month

May is National Foster Care Month, a time set aside to raise awareness for, and involvement in, foster care, and a time we want to acknowledge and say “thank you” to our foster parents, foster care social workers, and other ministry partners that help us in our mission to protect, nurture, and restore children and families through Christ-centered services. We are thankful for all the many ways these individuals serve our kids!

We also hope to inspire this month, anyone interested in knowing more about foster care—whether that means opening up your home or maybe how you can help children and families in a volunteer capacity. Many ideas for getting involved can be found on our “13 Ways” page. With the help of churches, businesses, and individuals, we can expand our resources to care for even more children and families throughout the state of Alabama!

Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes has the honor to serve children through individual foster homes, Campus Care homes, and Shelter Care homes throughout the state. To read more about each home and our locations, please see our webpage here.
