It’s Homecoming time again!
We’d like to invite Alabama Baptist Children's Homes & Family Ministries alumni, residents, staff, employees, and friends to the Troy Campus Homecoming Saturday, June 30. It will take place at Troy University, where the Children’s Homes campus was located.
Schedule:
Registration: 8-10 a.m. in the Senior Adult Center
Program: 10 a.m. in the former Children’s Homes Chapel
Lunch: 12
In the afternoon, we will have the baseball/softball games. The program will be very informal and as usual, we will have a time for sharing memories, testimonies, and words of thanksgiving. We will have a welcome from the City of Troy and pay tribute to those who have died since the last Homecoming. So, if you know of someone, please share that and any information about the person with us at info@abchome.org.
During the program we will also have a tribute to Paul and Diane Miller. And the John Stewart Alumni Award will be presented to outstanding alumni: male, female, and workers.
The food will be catered by the Piggly Wiggly in Troy. The cost for lunch is $12.00 per adult, $6.00 per child aged 6-12, and free for those under 6 years of age. There will be a maximum charge of $70.00 per family — husband, wife, and children. We will keep a list of those who have paid so that when you check in at Troy, you will receive your tickets.

The alumni have really searched to come up with a suitable honorarium for Paul and Diane Miller. The ABCH Board of Trustees decided to establish the Paul and Diane Miller Fund with the Alabama Baptist Foundation. This is something Paul has approved. He did not want a gift to him personally. If you would like to give to the fund, you may do so on the Donations page, and type in Paul and Diane Miller Fund in the notes section. I know that all of us have received many blessings from Paul's hard work and dedication to the Children's Home, so let’s honor him for this.
