• At least 23 professions of faith in Jesus Christ and two other spiritual decisions were made by individuals while in the care of the Children’s Homes in 2009.
• We completed construction of our new Oxford Ministry Center, allowing us to move our services out of the Calhoun Baptist Association Office, and providing expanded partnership and service opportunities in the Greater Calhoun County Area.
• We completed renovations to the Family Care Home in Alabaster, increasing our units there to 8.
• Statewide, we served 330 children in our foster homes, group homes and emergency shelters.
• Pathways Professional Counseling served 2,654 individuals in 2009.
• Although hit hard by the economic downturn, churches still gave generously to the Children’s Homes, providing 30.31* percent of our total operating income through their gifts of $2,615,683*.
*Number was updated after article went to press. The total for direct church gifts to ABCH was $2,654,472 which provided 30.98 percent of our total operating income.
