oqrjuhefg@nopubzr.betBob Dewhurst has served in his current role with Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes & Family Ministries since 1992, focusing on consistently communicating and attracting the resources needed for the work of the ministry.
He is available to lead workshops on a variety of topics including child protection, violence prevention and ministry development.
Bob holds a doctor of education in organizational leadership as well as a master of arts, a bachelor of science and an associate of arts.
He strives to live out the virtues of service, and has served or is serving on the governing boards for a variety of organizations, from private schools to international relief groups. He and his wife, Sonja, have been foster parents for 36 abused, abandoned and otherwise needy children during the past 20 years. They are members of Hunter Street Baptist Church, Birmingham, Ala.
One of Bob’s greatest areas of satisfaction is in his role as a father. He is a stepfather, birth father and adoptive father. Bob and Sonja have five children, two of whom have special needs. They are also proud grandparents to one granddaughter.
