yterra@nopubzr.betLouise Green began her ministry with Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes & Family Ministries in 1979.
After working for ABCH as a social worker in the Mobile and Montgomery areas, ABCH President/CEO Paul Miller asked Louise to come to Birmingham in 1994. In addition to overseeing a residential facility and establishing a foster care program, she began the ABCH counseling and Family Care programs. She has also helped establish and lead in workshops in churches throughout the state.
Prior to the Children’s Homes, Louise worked for the Alabama Department of Human Resources as a child abuse and neglect investigator. Her wealth of experience makes her a bold and strong advocate for children.
Louise graduated from Judson College and holds a master’s degree in social work from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Ala., and a doctorate in counseling from Auburn University.
Louise is a member of The Church at Brook Hills in Birmingham, Ala. In addition to a busy life with two enthusiastic cocker spaniels, she is an avid Alabama football fan.
